TCCC 首先要承认我们聚集和工作的土地位于 Adobigok(在奥吉布韦语中意为桤木的地方)。 。

— Shelly Charles,

The TCCC would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we gather, and work is in Adobigok (which means Place of the Alders in the Ojibwe Language). It is uniquely situated along the Humber River watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for aboriginal peoples between the lakeshore of Ontario and the Lake Simcoe-Georgian Bay region.

This area falls within the traditional territory of the Wendat, Anishnaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples.

— Shelley Charles, Elder

TCCC acknowledges that this land is the traditional territory of the Wendat, the Anishnaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Métis, and the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation.

TCCC wishes to acknowledge this land on which it works to foster inclusion and respect. We acknowledge this land is Indigenous land from time immemorial.

For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River.

Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
